Javier Villalobos is a multicultural entrepreneur born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. As President and co-founder of Sports Marketing Monterrey, he sustains the responsability of the agency’s vision and strategic development. He also is responsible for alternative operations; which among others include leading the company to achieve goals and becoming a leader in every market where the company is present.
Javier began his career at the age of 19, working in the advertising agency named Villalobos & Associates. Througout the years Javier and his brother, Jorge, introduced new concepts that revolutionized the advertising business in Mexico.
They changed the advertising game in Mexico by becoming owners of billboards and virtual media advertising. In 2004 they sold the company and founded Sports Marketing Monterrey to help brands, non profits and professional teams to reach their goals and consumers in the sports indurstry, ando also to represent TOP ELITE athletes.
At the age of 23, he found the next gold medal olympic athlete in Beijing 2008 for Mexico and former bronze medal in London 2012. Those athletes were sucessfully part of a marketing campaign for clients Powerade and Johnson & Johnson for the Olympics. At 26, he negotiated and signed with ESPN the first long term-international television contract for exhibition games in the USA. Such soccer games are held and promoted by his company with Elite Professional Soccer Teams from the Mexican League. All matches are broadcasted in more than 20 countries every year until now.
